Hey again folks. So decent update this time around. Let's just get what I couldn't get done out the way:
-No Distillery. Nobody knows what this means anyway, so I'll hold this back in favor of some more important features.
-No new spells. I'm in the process of learning a new particle system program for better effects. Some turned out not bad, others.. not so much.
As a result, some spells were changed for better and for worse. No animation is final.
-No new maps and items.
What's new in 1.9
- 1 New Relic. " Noahns Pendant - If you're HP is at or above 70%, silence the enemy passive each round."
- New Stylist 9 Corecka - Passive - Gain 'Violent Swarm' stacks on Rock Spell casts. After 4 Rock Spells, summon a "Storm Swarm" Field. Field effects last 5 rounds and effect both players.
Storm Swarm Field - Summon a Swarm Nest on the side of the field. When you SW/BB the nest deals damage to all enemies based on 'Violent Swarm'.
-New Tutorial! - This was my main focus. Access the tutorial from the main menu. Like all things, it is still a heavy WIP, but its very much accessable!
- New Animation for torches. Not sold that this will be the final rendition of fire, but it'll stay for now.
- New Spell Sprite updates for Accusight, Sharpen, Venom Blade, Rohk Shield, Sharpstone, Tremor Stomp ++.
- Added passive cards to all Stylists. When a passive triggers in battle, a card will display detailing the effect, similar to spells.
-Separated block into its own category. Since Stylists will tend to have unique blocks, I felt it important that block feels similar to casting the other spells.
- Updated passive card for the Acid Tree.
- Updated main menu. Very much not done obviously.
So, what's next? First things first, I'm going to do a repass on the art. I want to spend the next week or so polishing the artwork so that it's as close to the final rendition as it'll get. The distillery will finally be next, but probably after I continue updating the battle system for more stylists and unique spells. I'll be back in 4 this time, I want to give myself more time and come back with an explosive B2.0; something that'll finally bring some attention to this game. I'm talking more polished everything.
